Match Review LS16 | Negeri Sembilan FC 0-4 Selangor FC | Important Win Away


Selangor FC managed to bring home three important points from the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in the 2024/25 Super League against Negeri Sembilan FC (NSE) with a 4-0 scoreline.

The first half of yesterday's #NSESFC match was full of dangerous challenges from both teams. Aliff Haiqal Lau continued to show his best performance and scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute after receiving a good pass from Ali Olwan. Then, Alvin Fortes scored a free kick, among his advantages, in the 38th minute. Not long after the second half started, Quentin Cheng received a pass from Yohandry Orozco that fell perfectly in front of him, taking him forward and scoring the Red Giants' third goal in the 48th minute. After the assist, it was Yohandry Orozco's turn to score in the 61st minute. Selangor FC managed to win without conceding for the first time under the care of Katsuhito Kinoshi.

First win for Katsuhito Kinoshi, the new Head Coach of Selangor FC stated that he was satisfied with the match pattern displayed by his men.

"I am very satisfied with the team's performance, not only the starting eleven players, but also those who came on as substitutes. All the players have given their respective contributions, and this is the key to the team's success tonight. Most importantly, we need to continue to believe in ourselves and our respective abilities, because without these two, it is difficult to achieve victory. After this match, Selangor FC has climbed back into second place in the Super League 2024/25, having accumulated 32 points from ten wins, two draws, and three losses.

Next, the team moves on to the 2024/25 Challenge Cup, scheduled to meet Kelantan Darul Naim (KDN) in the Quarter Final round which will be played in a two-way match; Away match on 12 December and Home match on 22 December, both matches at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya.

The management is confident that the team will continue to progress from time to time to continue giving their best to maintain the best position in the 2024/25 Malaysia League.
